WELCOME TO YOUR GLOWBOMB ERA

The goal isn’t to be younger.
It’s to feel like yourself again.

Somewhere between looking after everyone else and getting on with life, it’s easy to lose sight of you. This is your space to reconnect with what makes you feel good, inside and out. Gently. Joyfully. On your own terms.

01 / YOUR WORLD OF GLOWBOMB

A little shift.
A beautiful difference.

There’s no one way to glow.
Start wherever you feel drawn.

THE GLOWBOMB GUIDE

A little advice,
lovely.

Real-life thoughts from Lucy on style, colour, nutrition, wellbeing, beauty and becoming more yourself.

Choose whatever you need today. There is no perfect place to start—just the place that feels useful to you.

01 / STYLE

Getting dressed for the woman you are now.

Personal styling

Personal styling isn’t about being told what to wear or turning yourself into somebody else. It’s about understanding what suits your shape, colouring, lifestyle and personality—then bringing those things together in a way that feels unmistakably you.

Start by noticing which outfits make you stand a little taller. Those clues matter. The right wardrobe should support your life, save you time and give you more good days in front of the mirror.

Wardrobe confidence

If opening your wardrobe makes you feel flat, the problem isn’t your body. Often, it’s simply that the clothes inside no longer reflect who you are, what you need or how you want to feel.

Begin with one outfit you genuinely enjoy wearing and ask why it works. Build from that feeling instead of focusing on what is “wrong.” Confidence grows when your clothes feel like allies, not another test to pass.

Outfit planning

A few ready-made outfit formulas can make mornings wonderfully simple. Try choosing a great base, adding one layer and finishing with an accessory that gives the look personality.

Take a quick photograph whenever an outfit feels good. Before long, you’ll have your own little lookbook for busy days—and far fewer moments standing in your underwear wondering what on earth to put on.

Body shape & fit

Your body is not the thing that needs fixing; fit is. Clothes are mass-produced to a set of measurements, while real women come in beautifully individual proportions.

Look for pieces that follow your shape without fighting it, and never be afraid to size up, size down or use a tailor. The number on the label is information—not a judgement.

Style identity

Your style identity lives in the overlap between what you love, how you live and how you want to be seen. It may change as you do, and that is a sign of growth rather than inconsistency.

Collect images that spark something in you, then look for repeating themes: colour, shape, texture or mood. Choose three words to guide your wardrobe—perhaps relaxed, polished and playful—and use them as your filter.

Shop with purpose

Purposeful shopping begins before you enter a shop or open an app. Know the genuine gaps in your wardrobe and picture at least three ways a new piece could work with what you already own.

Give yourself permission to leave lovely things behind when they don’t serve your life. Buying less, but buying better for you, creates a wardrobe that feels calmer, more useful and much more exciting to wear.

02 / COLOUR

Let colour bring you back to life.

Personal colour analysis

Colour analysis is about discovering the shades that work in harmony with your natural colouring. When the undertone, depth and brightness are right, your eyes appear clearer and your complexion looks fresher before you’ve done anything else.

It isn’t a list of colours you are “allowed” to wear. Think of it as a shortcut to the shades that make choosing clothes and make-up easier—and make you feel gloriously visible.

Your best colours

Your best colours are the ones that make people notice you before they notice the colour. They create balance around your face rather than draining you, overwhelming you or wearing you.

Try holding different shades beneath your chin in natural daylight. Notice what happens to your skin, eyes and shadows. The difference can be subtle at first, but once you see it, you really do see it.

Make-up shades

The most flattering make-up shades echo the natural temperature and intensity in your colouring. A lipstick or blush in the right family can brighten your whole face and make even a very simple routine feel finished.

Keep experimentation joyful. Try colour near a window, give your eyes time to adjust and notice whether you look healthier and more awake. That matters far more than chasing whichever shade happens to be trending.

Hair colour guidance

Hair colour frames your face every single day, so its warmth, coolness and depth can make a beautiful difference. The aim is not always dramatic change; sometimes a softer tone or a few thoughtful highlights create the freshest result.

Take colour references to your hairdresser and talk about how the shade will work with your skin, maintenance preferences and natural greys. The best colour should still feel like you on an ordinary Tuesday.

Accessories

Accessories are the easiest, least intimidating way to bring more colour into your wardrobe. A scarf, earring, bag or shoe can lift familiar outfits without asking you to become a head-to-toe colour convert overnight.

Place the most flattering shades close to your face and use less-perfect favourites further away. Colour rules are there to help you—not to take the fun out of getting dressed.

Your personal palette

A personal palette gives your wardrobe a lovely sense of connection. Choose a handful of reliable neutrals, your most flattering colours and one or two joyful accents that make your heart lift.

You don’t need to wear every shade in your seasonal palette. Curate the colours that suit you and feel like you; that is how a useful colour analysis becomes a truly personal style tool.

03 / NUTRITION

Nourishment that fits real life.

Protein & muscle

Protein supports muscle maintenance, strength and recovery, which becomes especially important as we move through midlife. It can also make meals feel more satisfying and help you stay comfortably full for longer.

Rather than chasing perfection, include a useful source at each meal: eggs, yoghurt, fish, chicken, tofu, beans or lentils. Small, regular choices are much more powerful than one “perfect” day.

Gut health

Your gut loves variety. Different plant foods provide different fibres and nutrients, so colour and diversity across the week can be a wonderfully simple place to begin.

Add rather than restrict: berries on breakfast, seeds in yoghurt, beans in a soup or another vegetable with dinner. Increase fibre gradually, drink enough fluid and pay attention to what genuinely feels good in your body.

Blood sugar balance

Balanced meals can help energy feel steadier through the day. Pair carbohydrates with protein, healthy fats or fibre rather than treating foods as “good” or “bad.”

Think toast with eggs, fruit with yoghurt or crackers with hummus. These easy pairings are realistic, satisfying and far kinder than rigid rules that leave you hungry and thinking about food all afternoon.

Menopause nutrition

During perimenopause and menopause, nourishment should support bone, heart and muscle health while respecting your changing energy and appetite. Protein, calcium-rich foods, colourful plants and healthy fats all have a useful part to play.

You don’t need an extreme “menopause diet.” Build dependable meals, keep changes manageable and seek personal medical or dietetic support if symptoms or health concerns are affecting your everyday life.

Energy & mood

Food cannot solve every tired or difficult day, but eating regularly can give your body a steadier foundation. Long gaps, very light meals and relying on caffeine can sometimes leave energy feeling even more up and down.

Aim for proper meals, carry a satisfying snack and remember water. Then look at the whole picture—sleep, stress, movement and hormones all matter too. You are a person, not a nutrition equation.

Healthy habits & real food

Healthy eating has to live alongside work, family, budgets, celebrations and the occasional day when only toast will do. Real wellbeing makes room for all of that.

Choose one habit that would make life easier: planning two dinners, keeping fruit visible or adding vegetables to a favourite meal. Consistency built with kindness will always take you further than a dramatic plan you cannot sustain.

04 / WELLBEING

More room to breathe and be yourself.

Menopause support

Perimenopause and menopause can touch sleep, mood, confidence, concentration and how at home you feel in your body. You are not imagining it, and you do not have to quietly “get on with it.”

Track what you notice, talk openly with people you trust and take your concerns to a qualified healthcare professional. Support may include lifestyle changes, talking therapies or medical options; the right route is the one that is safe and personal to you.

Sleep

Sleep is not a reward for finishing everything. It is one of the foundations that helps you think, cope and feel more like yourself—and it deserves a place on the priority list.

Create a gentle landing rather than a flawless routine: dim the lights, put tomorrow’s thoughts on paper and do one calming thing repeatedly. If poor sleep persists or is affecting your health, please ask for professional support.

Stress less

Stress often builds through dozens of tiny demands rather than one dramatic event. Reducing it may begin with noticing what is taking your energy and where you can create one small pocket of ease.

Pause before automatically saying yes. Take three slower breaths, step outside or remove one non-essential task. These are not magic fixes, but they remind your nervous system—and you—that your needs belong in the day too.

Movement

Movement should support your life, not punish your body. Walking, strength work, dancing in the kitchen or stretching for ten minutes all count when they help you feel stronger and more energised.

Choose something accessible enough to repeat and enjoyable enough not to dread. The most valuable routine is rarely the most impressive one; it is the one that keeps finding a place in your real week.

Self-care

Self-care can be a beautiful candle and a bath, but it can also be booking the appointment, eating lunch, asking for help or going to bed when the washing is still downstairs.

Ask yourself, “What would make today feel five per cent kinder?” Keep the answer small and honest. Caring for yourself is not selfish; it helps you meet the rest of your life with more of yourself available.

Confidence & emotional wellbeing

Confidence is not feeling fearless all the time. Often, it is trusting that you can feel uncertain and still take the next small step.

Speak to yourself as you would to a woman you love. Notice your progress, keep close to people who allow you to be real and seek professional support when difficult feelings become heavy or persistent. You deserve care, not judgement.

05 / BEAUTY

Little rituals that help you glow.

Skincare

Good skincare does not need twelve steps or an overflowing bathroom shelf. A gentle cleanse, moisturiser and daily broad-spectrum sun protection give most routines a calm, useful foundation.

Add active products slowly and because they address something you care about—not because the internet says you should fear ageing. Your skin is living, changing and worthy of care at every age.

Make-up for mature skin

Make-up on mature skin is less about rules and more about light, hydration and placement. Sheerer layers, cream textures and thoughtful colour often keep the finish fresh while allowing real skin to look like skin.

Use what makes you happy. A brilliant lip, lifted blush or softly defined eye can change how you feel in minutes. Make-up is expression—not camouflage.

Hair

Hair can change in texture, density and behaviour through midlife, which sometimes means the routine that worked for years suddenly doesn’t. That is not failure; it is simply an invitation to reassess.

Choose a cut that works with your current hair and the amount of styling you realistically enjoy. The right shape and a few reliable products should make you feel more polished without becoming a second job.

Brows

Brows quietly frame the whole face. A little definition can lift your features, especially if hairs have become finer or lighter over time.

Use fine, hair-like strokes only where you need them, then brush through to soften. Aim for sisters rather than identical twins—natural movement is far more flattering than forcing perfect symmetry.

Beauty routines

A beauty routine should feel like a small moment of connection, not another standard you are failing to meet. Keep everyday products visible, easy to use and suited to the time you actually have.

Create a five-minute version and a leisurely version. Both are valid. Some mornings you may want the full ritual; on others, moisturiser, brows and lipstick can be more than enough.

06 / SELF & CELEBRATION

Make more room for the woman within.

Confidence

Confidence is built in tiny moments: wearing the colour, sharing the idea, entering the room and keeping one promise to yourself. You do not have to wait until you feel completely ready.

Act from the woman you are becoming, even if the first step feels wobbly. Each time you show yourself that you can cope, your world becomes a little wider.

Boundaries

Boundaries are not walls and they are not punishments. They are clear information about what you can offer, what you need and what allows a relationship to feel respectful.

Start with a pause instead of an automatic yes: “Let me check and come back to you.” That small space gives you time to choose your answer rather than abandoning yourself to keep everybody else comfortable.

Self-worth

Your worth does not rise and fall with your weight, productivity, relationship status, age or how useful you have been to everybody else. It is already yours.

Begin noticing the ways you speak to yourself when nobody can hear. Replace cruel conclusions with something truthful and kind. You are allowed to be a work in progress and still be completely worthy today.

Heartbreak & healing

Healing after heartbreak is rarely tidy or linear. You can miss what was, feel angry about it and still be moving forward—all in the same afternoon.

Let recovery be made of ordinary acts: eating, sleeping, reaching out and creating small plans that belong only to you. There is no deadline. One day you realise you are no longer only surviving the ending; you are beginning again.

Life changes

Change can leave you between identities: no longer who you were, but not quite sure who comes next. That in-between space can feel uncomfortable, yet it also holds possibility.

You do not need the whole new chapter mapped out. Follow what gives you energy, stay curious and take one decision at a time. Reinvention does not have to be loud to be life-changing.

Celebrating YOU

Women are often brilliant at celebrating everyone else while moving their own achievements quietly past without acknowledgement. You are allowed to pause and be proud of yourself.

Celebrate the visible wins and the private ones: the boundary held, the hard morning survived, the brave choice made. Wear the outfit, open the fizz or simply say, “I did that.” Your life deserves witnesses—and one of them should be you.

THE BEAUTY NOTE

A little colour.
A whole new mood.

Finding a signature shade starts with noticing what makes you feel like yourself.

There’s something lovely about finding a lipstick you reach for without thinking. Start with the colours you already enjoy wearing. A favourite scarf, a much-loved blouse or a pair of earrings can be a useful starting point.

Try your shortlist in daylight and give yourself time to look at the whole picture. Do you feel comfortable? Does it work with the clothes you love? You get to decide what feels right.

And if you’d like a little guidance, personal colour analysis is a way to explore those choices with support.

Sometimes a new chapter begins quietly. You wear something you’ve been saving. You make time for a friend. You say what you want instead of hoping someone will guess.

Try asking yourself: what have I missed? What would I like more of? What is one small thing I could do this week, just for me?

Write the answer somewhere you’ll see it. Let it be an invitation, not another task to get right. A beginning can be small and still matter.
